What a great way to ensure that yarns from different manufacturers are the same weight and gauge when coordinating them into the same colorwork design. Just place the end of the yarn in the notch at the end of the WPI Tool, guide it along the groove, then turn and lightly roll the yarn onto the tool. When you reach an inch marker, count the number of times that the yarn is wrapped around it. This is the wraps per inch.
